Obviously the lyrics are not meant to be taken literally (you can if you like rain), but instead it pictures the feeling of living a monotic routine that can be more than often not very rewarding.
The suffix “1986 mix” was added to the title as most of the sounds on the track were generated by the Roland S10 - 12bit Sample keyboard that was released in 1986.
We also recorded additional basslines, strings and acoustic drums but the final mix became too busy and did not work out well. So we decided to release multiple versions of the track later containing the additional elements.
